The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location for our CHR Corporate Human Resources division.
The Associate Architect, Talent Management you will deliver high-quality support for Abbott Workday Human Capital Management system, specifically the Talent & Learning & Development. You will work alongside our customers to help resolve issues with Corporate HR talent acquisition systems and processes. Must have process knowledge of Performance management/review, Goals setting, Development Planning, Succession planning and other Talent & Learning & Development related processes
What You’ll Work On
- Collect and analyze business requirements and design, implement and customize business system and standard operating procedures accordingly.
- Identify solutions for delivering the most effective ways for clients to proceed utilizing the System of Record as the single source of truth.
- Configure and validate HRIS applications in SaaS Workday Cloud solution using functional system configurations, business process configurations and Enterprise Interface Builder web service tool.
- Work with other HRTS Architects or Sr. Architects to identify innovative opportunities to enhance our customers experience.
- Design calculated fields and custom fields, and build reports as needed
- Configure and perform performance tuning, optimization, and testing of business processes
- Work on complex service-oriented architecture design and implementation for various business operations
- Assist with Global HR system projects.
- Conduct gap/root cause analysis to find gaps & recommend alternatives to streamline process flows.
- Work with Talent leadership team and other various stakeholders on new initiatives and build prototypes for the potential solutions for improving operational and program efficiencies.
- Interact and communicate with project team members to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of system updates and modifications into production.
- Work closely with the project team to track issues through to resolution and resolve queries.
- Responsible for preparing detailed design documents and unit test plans based on the functional requirements and business processes.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- Must know WORKDAY System configuration
- Deep understanding of Talent Development and other learning systems and related business processes in ERP.
- System support experience in Workday Human Capital Management, HR portal including employee and manager self-service is helpful.
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Possess excellent verbal/written communication, user interaction & interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.
- Workday TM certification is a plus.

The base pay for this position is
$85,300.00 – $170,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
