Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Finance Strategic Initiatives team and has a new opportunity for a Finance Business Process Analyst. This position will help drive efficiency, increase effectiveness, and improve the customer and co-worker experience by identifying opportunities that free up capacity and reduce operating costs, evaluating and optimizing financial processes, bridging the gap between finance and technology, ensuring that financial systems and workflows align with business objectives. This role requires a solid foundation in finance systems, understanding of lean methodologies, and experience in project execution.

Compensation
This position can be filled at either level II or III, based on education and experience.
$72,000 – $86,000
Exempt Grade 15
$83,280 – $99,000
Exempt Grade 16

What you’ll do
- Assist with alignment of project objectives and solutions to organizational business strategies and objectives.
- Engage key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and understand pain points
- Evaluate existing financial processes and create process workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Support the execution of user acceptance testing and integration for system enhancements/changes
- Collaborate within a team environment to drive business engagement and group sessions
- Partner with Financial Systems team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Develop training materials to ensure users understand and effectively utilize financial systems
- Provide ongoing support to end-users for financial systems and processes
- Ensure all financial processes and systems comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Document workflows, systems configurations and process changes in detail.
- Support tracking and reporting of lean and transformation projects.
- Maintain and support periodic reviews of the Finance Department business unit recovery and continuity program.
- Support tracking and maintenance of the Finance Department policies and procedures within the document management system (PolicyTech).
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems, finance, business administration or related field
- Level II requires 3-5 years of relevant work experience in business process analysis or system implementation
- Level III requires 5+ years of relevant work experience in business process analysis or system implementation
- Project management experience required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient knowledge of ERP systems (Workday, Adaptive Planning or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-orientated and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
