The Oshkosh Corporation Vocational segment leverages the power of our people, brands, and strength in technology to improve the safety, cleanliness, and productivity of our communities.  The Vocational segment includes market leading brands McNeilus, Oshkosh S-Series, IMT, Pierce, MAXIMETAL, Oshkosh Airport Products, and Frontline Communications.  Our purpose-built products serve our communities with carefully designed and engineered refuse trucks, front-discharge mixer trucks, fire apparatus, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting trucks, service vehicles, and command trucks.   Our products are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.

SUMMARY

Develops and implements Training and Development programs for Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee team members. Supports the design and deployment of strategic learning programs across the organization. This would include but not be limited to technical-manufacturing training (safety, welding, fabrication, front line assembly, paint, forklift/material handling, etc.), training strategy, partnership with onboarding and upskilling talent and program design.

It is an exciting time to be part of Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee, and this role will have an opportunity to be part of a brand-new start up location. This role will work onsite from our Murfreesboro, TN facility.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Designs, develops, and delivers curriculum, courses, and associated materials in all available/appropriate training media on a variety of topics.
  • Develop online learning modules within the corporate LMS.
  • Develop Instructor-Lead Training modules.
  • Track learning using the LMS.
  • Conduct training needs assessments in partnership with production leaders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and other Oshkosh segments to support onboarding, upskilling, and development programs.
  • Network collaboratively across different Business Units within the segment.
  • Researches and writes proposals.
  • Identifies, evaluates, negotiates with, recommends, and implements vendor training courseware, materials, and media as appropriate.
  • Works with outside vendors and internal stakeholders to customize and coordinate program design and delivery.
  • Identifies external training courses for employees as appropriate.
  • Participates in special corporate and organization development initiatives such as Town Halls and Employee Briefings
  • Assists in the coordination of training events.
  • Conducts on the job training, new hire orientation, and/or on demand training based on business needs.
  • Participates in industry training groups, internal education advisory boards and user groups.
  • Supports documentation standards for all Training Center activities and products.
  • Develops and publishes content within the knowledge repository and Training Center intranet site and participates in their continuous improvement.
  • Works within established documentation style and templates
  • Participates in budget preparation and tracking, while ensuring adherence to the department budget
  • Follows guidance from leaders.
  • Monitors compliance and record keeping within the Learning Management System
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Seven plus years’ experience in Training and Development/ Management/Organization Development.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Education, or Human Resources OR combination of equivalent experience in Instructional and Program Design

  • Proficient in MS Office (Specifically Publisher, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient Adobe Acrobat Pro

Pay Range:

$72,200.00 – $116,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
