Your role

Alchemy’s Workday Reporting Consultant will help ensure the successful implementation of Workday HCM, Financials, and Student systems by contributing Workday product, reporting, and consulting expertise to a dynamic and cohesive implementation team.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead reporting for Workday’s Financials (FIN), Human Capital Management (HCM) product suite, and/or Workday Student
  • Perform the following as a member of the deployment team: gather/understand customer’s business requirements, design and build Workday reporting solutions, demonstrate reports through the deployment process, assist in testing reports, and complete knowledge transfer to the customer
  • Take on the role of reporting lead and be the point person on projects for reporting-related tasks
  • Assist with report writing needs related to integrations (e.g. outbound EIBs or Studios that require reports)
  • Collaborate effectively and synergistically on team-based projects
  • Help ensure the customer remains referenceable once in production
  • Take advantage of training opportunities to expand your skillset
  • Work with the project manager to provide status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status
  • Work with the project manager to identify scope changes and change orders as needed
  • Strive to innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
     

About you (Required skills)

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in consulting and Workday reporting
  • A technical bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
  • Ability to create and modify custom reports, calculated fields, and related functionality
  • Ability to identify data sources, objects, and fields to pull data from customer legacy systems
  • Knowledge of critical fields for HCM, Finance, Performance, Payroll, and Benefits
  • Ability to navigate and search for reports and/or dashboards
  • Requirements gathering, data integrity, accuracy, and validation skills
  • Ability to work with both functional and technical resources to define requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills used to translate information and requirements into documentation and solution design
  • Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

About you (Bonus skills)

  • Workday Advanced/Composite Reporting, or Prism certifications
  • Experience working with higher education customers (university/college)

Pay Transparency Statement 

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Alchemy variable bonus plan based on role-specific commission/bonus. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Alchemy, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000-$117,500 USD.
