Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Pune based Workday Configuration Analyst to join our People Digital team in Corporate Technology.

Team/Group Description

People Digital are a team of technical business partners and product owners who provide end to end solutions, project management, business analysis, systems administration, development, and production support for the People Team in the areas of HCM, Talent Management, Compensation, Recruitment, Time Management, Payroll, and Benefits. People Digital primarily provides support for all aspects of the global implementation of Workday and supports all People team related technology products.

Role Description

The Workday Configuration Analyst’s primary responsibility will be serving as an analyst to their team and as a thought partner with business sponsors in People, Payroll, and Technology, providing collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking to provide solutions across all our Workday products. This hands-on role will provide configuration support and will have a sound, techno-functional understanding of the various domains of the People Team and Payroll business as well as the deep technical requirements needed to strategically solve problems in various modules, systems, and integrations.  The individual will be able to break down complex technical concepts and provide business-side collaboration to meet AB’s immediate needs and long-term People systems strategies.  This role will report to the Manager of People Digital and will work with an established team of Workday Analysts and Developers, as well as our implementation partners for larger expansions of the platform.

Reporting & Analytics, Performance & Talent Management, Learning, Payroll, Workday Time Tracking, HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, as well as other supplemental systems both internally built, and vendor supplied.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Configure, implement, and maintain Workday solutions in partnership with the People & Payroll teams, as well as business stakeholders to continuously improve, enhance, and expand our People Digital landscape

  • Develop next level Reporting and Dashboards for delivered solutions, operational needs, and various executive initiatives

  • Create testing strategies, develop test cases and scenarios, execute testing plans, and monitor defect reporting for enhancements and expansions of technologies

  • Collaborative partnership with colleagues, customers, and leaders to achieve business goals, execute our roadmap, and focus on our long-term strategy

  • Provide root cause analysis regarding operational issues related to configuration across platforms

  • Assisting with customer inquiries regarding system and module details

Qualifications, Experience, Education

  • At least 5 years of combined experience in four or more of the following areas:

    • Workday HCM

    • Workday Performance Management

    • Workday Advanced Report Writing

    • Workday Payroll

    • Workday Security

    • Workday Time and Absence

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an analyst for post-implementation technology support

  • Proven ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams including business users and other technical teams

Skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Quality Assurance experience testing system enhancements

  • Identifying critical and impacting issues, understanding appropriate escalation, and driving resolutions as well as root cause analysis.

  • Use of collaborative software to track project development tasks

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
