Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented HC Shared Services & Operations Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality HR support to our applicants, new hires and existing employees. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Workday, HR shared services, managing ticket SLAs, excellent presentation skills, and a passion for leading and developing people.

This is a full-time role at our Wall Street location in New York City, with the expectation of being in-office Monday to Thursday and work from home opportunity on Fridays. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage the coordination, preparation, and execution of new hire orientation on a weekly basis.
  • Take responsibility for all employee lifecycle processes within Workday, including terminations, job changes, compensation changes, one-time payments, personal information updates, and time off requests.
  • Oversee the team's responsibilities, including job changes, COVID case tracking, payroll audits, one-time payments, state taxes, unemployment claims, employment verifications, EAD/visa renewals, terminations/resignations, level 0 benefits inquiries, new hire questions, and requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for all Human Capital ticket questions or issues from hire to retire and beyond.
  • Collaborate with HCIS on testing and implementing any improvements or changes within Workday HCM.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for employee and manager self-service in Workday, streamlining processes and empowering employees and managers to handle routine tasks independently.
  • Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners, and other centers of excellence to support their operational needs, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across HR functions.
  • Manage annual projects regarding onboarding, school staff planning, and compensation, ensuring successful execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize strong presentation skills to effectively communicate updates, changes, and best practices to team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR shared services team, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

2. At least 5 years of experience in a shared services environment, with a strong understanding of Workday HCM and related processes.

3. Demonstrated ability to manage ticket SLAs and effectively handle escalations.

4. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging manner.

5. At least 3 years of people leadership experience with a track record of developing and motivating a team.

6. Proactive and results-oriented individual who is a go-getter and thrives in a dynamic environment.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.

8. Proficiency in Excel to analyze and present data effectively.

9. Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and Absence modules, with a demonstrated ability to leverage these systems to streamline HR processes.

10. Experience with ADP for payroll processing and related functions.

11. Basic understanding of Workday reporting, enabling the extraction and analysis of HR data to support decision-making.

12. Some project management experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to plan, execute, and oversee HR initiatives.

13. Possession of a PHR or other relevant HR certification would be a plus, indicating a strong understanding of HR best practices and regulations.

14. Some knowledge of payroll and benefits processes, demonstrating a holistic understanding of HR operations.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00
