Want to bring ideas to life?

You’re in the right place. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, why choose Aurecon? It comes down to one, crucial question. What kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? Truth is, the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our Applications and Data team and contribute to the design and delivery of a fit-for-purpose future-ready Workday Architecture for Aurecon. This role extends beyond the scope of a traditional solution architect and assumes a pivotal position in designing, architecting, and implementing Workday solutions that align with Aurecon's IT and business strategies. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams and projects to optimise processes, guide system enhancements, and elevate the user experience. Additionally, you will create, own and drive the Workday suite strategy and roadmaps, and effectively communicate and advocate strategic outcomes to stakeholders.

What will you do to "bring ideas to life"?

  • Architecting a well-integrated landscape by designing optimal Workday solutions in relation to best practice, functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Creating, owning and driving strategy and roadmaps for the Workday suite and clearly communicating and championing strategic outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders, including executives, to deliver the Workday suite roadmap that supports transitioning to a target state, while also providing guidance and recommendations for optimal Workday usage.

  • Producing high-level and detailed architecture artefacts for a solution and achieving their endorsement through the architecture review process, while ensuring that the endorsed design is adhered to during implementation and build, and that there is no deviation by delivery teams or vendors.

  • Ensuring that solutions complement technologies defined on strategic roadmaps and align with existing design and architecture principles and standards.

  • Focusing on architectural decisions and analysis of their impact on the existing IT environment while avoiding unnecessary technical debt.

  • Provision of Workday technical guidance to the Application Development, Integration, Support and Project Delivery Teams.

How will your future be shaped by us?

Joining Aurecon means you’ll be at the award-winning edge of innovation and sustainability. AFR ranked us Top 5 among sustainability leaders and Top 3 of all innovative companies in professional services. One Consult awarded us an innovative design award. Plus, we were Consult Australia’s large firm of the year.

You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident your voice will be heard. We don’t just claim we’re inclusive and innovative, as proven by the independent awards and accreditations we’ve gained. We’ve been recognised for our innovation culture, gender equality and our LGBTI+ inclusion. Plus, we have a robust Reconciliation Action Plan – our fourth edition since 2014.

On a personal level, you’ll have access to flexible work hours, remote work, working holidays, part-time and job share options. You’ll continue to grow, thanks to learning and development opportunities that further your eminence, leadership, and professional accreditations. Outside of work, you’ll be further supported with competitive paid parental leave, cultural public holiday swaps, plus wellbeing support programmes.

What are we looking for from you?

You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

You will bring your skills and experience in similar Architecture roles. Specifically:

  • A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar.

  • Extensive experience in Workday solution design and implementation, in particular Professional Services Automation (Projects), Finance (FIN), and People (HCM).

  • Experience working in multiple IT areas in large and complex organisations, as well as working with teams that are dispersed geographically and across different time zones.

  • Extensive experience in eliciting and analysing business requirements and designing appropriate technical solutions.

  • Experience in Workday Integration Cloud to provide guidance and best practice integration options for application and data integration with the Workday suite.

  • Relevant Workday accreditations (PSA accreditation would be an advantage).

  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and influencing skills; ability to convey technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including an executive audience.

Who is Aurecon?

It’s our people who imagine and co-create with our clients a better future for people and the planet. Of course, you’ll probably know lots of our award-winning projects.
