Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada is always looking to strengthen our institution by adding the best available talent to our staff. We’re seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst. This position will report directly to the CHRO and will conduct compensation analysis, research job requirements, and evaluate job positions to ensure the college is competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence.
 Responsibilities of this Role:

The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide support to Human Resources, generate reports, conduct job description review and analysis, collect and analyze data from different sources and ensure accurate data is reported.

Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.

Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
-
Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information. Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.

Research employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommend changes or updates to the company’s existing benefits or policies.

Plan and communicate preferred methods and best practices for hiring, training, compensating, and evaluating employees.

In collaboration with the CHRO advise management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and collective agreements.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field from a from an accredited college or university OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
3 years of compensation analyst experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in human resources, business, or related field from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
-
Certification in compensation.
-
4 years related professional experience.
-
History of collaborating with internal stakeholders.
-
Experience with Workday HRIS system.
-
Ability to analyze market trends, process data and turn information into various reports.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform and conduct quantitative and qualitative research.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Proficient with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office programs.

Knowledgeable about human resource laws, policies, and practices.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Create effective compensation surveys.

Predict job market trends.
Salary Information:
Administrative Faculty C – The starting salary is $73,982
