Role Description:
CoStar Group is currently seeking a HR Business Partner in our Richmond, VA office to support leaders and employees across sales teams. This role will support all facets of HR and people strategies that enable business goals and objectives. Responsibilities will include advising business stakeholders on people related matters, and leading HR initiatives and programs across the client group.  Â
This role offers a schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote in our Richmond, VA office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Strategic advisor and HR partner for local department leaders. Â
- Possess a keen understanding of the overarching strategy of the business with the ability to counsel leaders to enable growth of the business, drive retention and develop career strategies of our peopleÂ
- Lead discussions with Directors to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategiesÂ
- Coach managers to aid in their effectiveness, foster highly functioning and engaged teams and drive a thriving corporate culture Â
- Predict, assess and determine business needs in the areas of organizational design, staffing, performance management, succession planning, development and communication plansÂ
- Partner with other HR functions to identify, evaluate and drive forward key initiatives.  Â
- Contribute to the strategy and development of a best in class HR organizationÂ
- Mitigate and analyze situations to resolve complex HR challenges that arise and advise managers with actionable items to mitigate issues and concerns to always protect the companyÂ
- Additional projects as needed (process improvement, training facilitation)Â
- Lead discussions with senior leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategiesÂ
- Develop enhanced people related communication strategies that drive engagementÂ
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or CollegeÂ
- A track record of commitment to prior employersÂ
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a strategic role advising business leaders on people related strategiesÂ
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise across HR functions including – Organizational Design, Talent Development, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations and Compensation planningÂ
- Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentÂ
- Experience working within the Workday HRIS platformÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and ExcelÂ
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Experience within the commercial real estate industry, digital marketplace or information technology company strongly preferredÂ
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively resolve issues through active listening, good judgment and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Strong knowledge and experience in federal and multi-state employment laws and regulationsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all mattersÂ
- Successful candidate will be self-directed with demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage timeÂ
