Summary:

The New York Mets are looking for an experienced Compensation Manager to enhance the Human Resources Team. The role will lead and manage all aspects of the compensation function. The responsibilities and qualification are as follows:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that align with organizational objectives, market trends, and best practices

  • Salary Structure Design: Design, review, and maintain salary structures, ensuring internal equity, competitiveness, and consistency across the organization

  • Job Evaluation and Analysis: Conduct job evaluations and analysis to determine appropriate job classifications, levels, and salary ranges based on job duties, responsibilities, and market benchmarks

  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, salary surveys, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive compensation packages and benefits offerings

  • Compensation Planning: Lead the annual compensation planning process, including merit increases, incentive programs, and bonus structures, in collaboration with HR business partners and leadership

  • Performance Management Integration: Collaborate with the performance management team to ensure alignment between performance evaluations and compensation decisions

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing compensation practices, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Pay Act, and other relevant legislation

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze compensation data and metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports to senior management and key stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics or a related field in HR

  • 5+ years of experience in a compensation function preferred

  • An analytical and structured approach to solving problems

  • Advanced MS Excel including modeling, is a plus (pivot tables, lookup functions, count/sumifs, advanced formulas, and charting)

  • Strong communication skills; ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly

  • Demonstrate judgment, integrity in handling sensitive information and ability to articulate insights to senior management

  • Experience with Workday HRIS platform a plus

Salary Range:

$119,056.93 – $158,742.57
