Why this role is important to us:

As Senior Business Controller, you will have a direct impact on one of the largest divisions in SimCorp – the Product Division. You will drive and own financial insights and transparency to ensure we get the most out of our ERP system “Workday” and our financial reporting system “Adaptive Planning”. Together with our Lead Finance Business Partner, you will translate business decisions into financial outcomes, and use your financial insight to actively spar with and influence the senior management team of SimCorp´s R&D Product Division.

You will work on establishing and standardizing effective financial processes, reducing complexity and contribute to our key financial deliverables, including the budget, rolling forecast and monthly management reporting to PD´s Senior Management Team.

What you will be responsible for:

Your key responsibilities, within the area of Business Finance, will be to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and financial analyst to the Product Division (PD) organization
  • Be part of handling PD´s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process 
  • Be part of accelerating the development of financial transparency as well as financial analysis to proactively identify business opportunities
  • Drive and/or contribute to finance- and business initiatives and strategic projects
  • Drive and/or contribute to the development and optimization of financial- and business processes and the use of financial applications, including our new ERP system Workday
  • Perform ad-hoc business partnering and -controlling tasks

What we value:

  • Solid stakeholder management skills
  • At least 3+ years of experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial business support
  • A structured and analytical mindset with a self-starter attitude and a high degree of attention to detail
  • The ability to work just as well individually, as in teams
  • Brilliant communication and collaboration skills, bridging finance with the rest of the business
  • A high drive, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize between multiple stakeholders in a diverse and changing global environment
  • An academic degree in business, management and/or finance
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary
  • Amenability to work in EMEA time (2:00pm to 11:00pm PHT or 3:00pm to 12:00am PHT)
