WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Manager, Finance Accounting you will report to the Assistant Controller, be responsible for managing accountants on the team, and keep TNTP’s finances healthy and in compliance with state and federal regulations. This team owns accounting, project and contract setup and management, payroll, expense reports, supplier invoice processing, revenue, client invoicing, grant financial management, and the month-end close process.
Responsibilities:

Manage Expense Reporting & Corporate Card Program. Oversee TNTP’s expense reporting and credit card systems in Workday, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely approvals.

Financial Close & Reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements, manage the month-end close calendar, and ensure reconciliations for key accounts, including, but not limited to, expense reports, corporate credit card clearing accounts, payroll accounts, and fixed assets.

General Ledger Oversight. Maintain knowledge base of all sub-systems that provide data to the WD General Ledger, including payroll, grants, accounts receivable, and employee and vendor expenses.

Audit & Compliance Support. Prepare audit-related documentation, coordinate with external auditors, and assist in 403b audits and 990 filings.

Team Management. Supervise accountants responsible for processing expense reports and ensuring adherence to policies and deadlines.

System Enhancements & Process Improvements. Support Workday system updates, mapping changes, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

5-7 years of nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or other project management tools. (a plus)

Experience with the following financial systems (a plus): Workday and Adaptive.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate.
WHAT WE OFFER
The salary range for this position is $93,760 – $140,640. New hires can typically expect a starting salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint ($93,760 – $117,200), in alignment with experience, qualifications, and our commitment to equity in compensation.
