Overview of Global Workforce Services (GWS) – Workforce Mobilization
At Wycliffe USA, we collaborate with the global Church to attract, retain, resource, and support a diverse workforce dedicated to advancing Bible translation — including staff, volunteers, interns and contractors. Essential to achieving our strategic objectives and operational excellence, is our focus in sourcing, coaching, candidating and strategic placement of the existing and future workforce. We desire to collaborate with our partners in the global Bible translation movement by placing existing and new staff in strategic roles so that more people may gain access to God’s Word in their own languages and be transformed.
At the heart of this assignment is our dedication to placing existing and new staff in strategic roles that advance the Bible Translation movement. We’ll boldly innovate ways to fill current gaps and effectively source and encourage prospective staff to become deeply rooted in God’s mission. As a strategic partner, we actively listen, collaboratively discern and creatively resource our partners' workforce needs. Success hinges on efficient, excellent and simplified tasks that increase relational capital and maximize impact. Together with the Senior Director of Workforce Mobilization, this workgroup will enable new ways to engage and mobilize staff while leveraging existing resources and technological innovations. Workforce Mobilization is called to drive operational excellence, continuously improve processes to enhance the placement of every individual in the workforce, and ensure practices comply with HR best practices and organizational and governmental guidelines.
Responsibilities
You’ll make an impact as you:

Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.

Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.

Live out the conviction that “work flows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.

Collaborate on initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and initiatives.

Model servant leadership and aid in holding the GWS team accountable to organizational and team values.

Represent the GWS team in meetings, projects, workshops and partnership efforts, as assigned.

Work alongside the senior director and other team members to:
-
Develop operating objectives and innovative business models that aid in the acceleration of the Bible translation movement.
-
Drive the continual improvement of functions, processes and engagements.
-
Provide oversight for day 1-readiness, comprehensive orientation and onboarding program to effectively integrate staff into their roles, teams and the organization's culture.

Partner with leadership to apply design thinking in the ongoing development, assessment, communication and implementation of solutions to fill strategic roles.

Collaborate in developing tools and resources to evaluate, develop and attract individuals to sustain candidate pools and a talent pipeline to fill strategic needs. Work with other colleagues to proactively prioritize and fill strategic priority roles.

Build relationships with recruiting, talent development and HR networks. Stay informed on current issues and best practices and advise leadership on potential implications for Wycliffe.

Coordinate and execute recruitment strategies and efforts, including on digital and in-person experiences on campuses and at other venues/events that attract and engage potential candidates. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Manage and oversee portfolios of prospects and candidates, delegating as appropriate to ensure consistent care, support and service to current and future staff.

Provide guidance on innovative staffing and placement opportunities. Facilitate assignment transitions to ensure all current and future staff are strategically placed and engaged.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Workforce Mobilization and CHRO.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinate supervisory responsibilities for 10-15 staff in accordance with the ministry’s policies and applicable laws, including spiritual leadership, interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel Requirements: Some domestic travel may be expected for this position.

Other Requirements: Must have a strong, reliable internet and phone connection. Must have flexibility to adjust work schedule, including off-hours, to support collaboration across time zones.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in human resources, public relations, business or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in sales, recruiting and management.

Familiarity with the Wycliffe/SIL context and ministry service.

SHRM-CP is required.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $66,476.00 – $74,786.00. Actual pay rate may be higher based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and/or certifications, budget and allocation, if applicable. Additionally, the range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe’s non-profit ministry environment.
