Huntsman is seeking an HRIS Analyst supporting our GBS Site in San Jose, Costa Rica.  This position will report to the Sr. Manager – Global HR Systems.

Job Scope

The Huntsman HR Technology team is looking for someone to be our “LMS System Expert” to help us improve the technology products and services the Human Capital team delivers to our workers.  We need an individual who is passionate about “understanding”: what is being done, why it is being done, what the upstream and downstream impacts are, and how we can do it better!  We need an individual who has a deep knowledge about Workday LMS in particular and Workday more generally.  We want a person who wants to be “the” expert for our Workday LMS system and is eager to share this knowledge with others.  We need an individual who wants to help us create for today with an eye toward the future!

As the HRIS Analyst you will: 

Be a Workday “expert” and answer “how” and “why” questions:

  • How do I change …?
  • How do I setup an EIB to load data?
  • Why is this happening?
  • Why isn’t this happening?


  • Be the “go-to” person regarding LMS configs in Workday: courses, programs, audiences, etc.
  • Design and deliver an effective user experience for LMS content in Workday (e.g. dashboards).
  • Assist our L&D team in preparing content for loading into Workday.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with integrations, bp’s, security, reports, etc.
  • Support day-to-day, BAU, activities.
  • Create/Improve reports, bp’s, integrations, security and other configs.
  • Partner and collaborate with people across many departments (e.g. L&D, Environmental Health and Safety, IT) on projects large and small.
  • Use your consultative skills to turn problems into solutions.
  • Share your knowledge about HR and HR technology in general, and Workday LMS specifically.

  • View the system holistically: understand the inputs and outputs; able to assess the upstream and downstream impacts of changes.
  • Have a healthy sense of humor.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

  • 2+ years of Workday knowledge: LMS, HCM, Security, Recruiting, Talent, Reporting, bp’s, and Integrations.
  • Effective at gathering and documenting the “real” requirements and turning requirements into solutions.
  • Able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting HR teams.
  • Experienced with upgrade reviews and testing.
  • Have managed projects: new features/functions, upgrades, implementations.
  • Have built and executed test plans and test scenarios for new configs and upgrades.
